I find too many home buyers do things backwards when buying a home. The first thing you should do before you even look at a home is get a pre- qualification from your lender. Most buyers believe there will be no problem getting a loan, which may be the case but when you write a contract on a home that form needs to be presented with the purchase contract. If you don’t have a pre- qual filled out, your offer will not be as strong and may not be accepted. Not getting pre- qualification in advance could cause you to lose the home to another buyer.
