My husband and I did another fabulous hike on Christmas Eve at Wind Cave Trail in Usery Regional Park. I say this was a moderate hike with some steep areas that were pretty rocky. The Wind Cave is really only an eroded overhang that sits at the southern tip of the volcanic tuff. As you start your climb if you look west over at Usery Mountain you will see a huge arrow with Phoenix painted on the side. The sign was constructed during the 1950’s to guide wayward pilots.
